> Academic citation verification API. Detects AI-hallucinated bibliographic references by checking them against CrossRef, Semantic Scholar, and OpenAlex.

AiCitationChecker accepts a list of academic references in any citation style and returns a per-reference verification result: whether the paper exists, whether the metadata is correct, and a corrected formatted citation when a real match is found. Suitable for integration into research assistants, writing tools, and document pipelines.
